We have a block of rooms on hold at the Austin Motel in the South Congress district. This locally owned hotel is truly “keeping Austin weird” and we hope you will enjoy staying here. It is located just south of downtown on a strip of Congress Avenue with plenty of local restaurants and boutique shops within steps of the motel property.

We have on hold a selection of rooms in the $80, $100 and $110 price ranges. There are rooms in a slightly higher price range that aren’t on hold, but you can ask for availability on those if you find one you particularly like. All rooms have pictures on the website, and each room has a unique look, so take your pick!

The Austin Motel keeps it old-school and doesn’t have a computer booking system, so you will need to call to book your room at (512) 441-1157. Please mention you are with the Campbell/Moody party.

* You must book a room before Sept. 15, 2009. The motel will release any open rooms if they have not been booked by that date. We will send out reminders as that date nears.

Other Options in the South Congress Area
The South Congress area has a number of guest/vacation houses available. Below are some places we have found in a range of prices and styles. These are not on hold, but are simply some other options available in the area.

Getting AROUND
We will provide transportation to and from the wedding on Friday night (Oct. 16) from the Austin Motel. If you are staying at the Austin Motel or nearby, you could get by the whole weekend without a car because you’ll have plenty of entertainment within walking distance and we will provide transportation to any wedding-related events.

UPDATE: Car rentals from the airport have reduced prices this weekend (for some reason). If you do want to rent a car, this will be your easiest option.
